02 – Submit
We submit once your setup meets every requirement.
03 – Assessor review
Results usually come back within 2 to 3 working days.
04 – Certificate
Issued on a pass, valid for 12 months.

Qualifying organisations can opt in to £25,000 of cyber liability cover with the certificate at no extra charge. It applies to UK organisations certifying their whole organisation with turnover under £20 million.

About the certification.
What happens if we fail?
Most failures are fixable. If the assessor flags an answer, IASME gives you 2 working days to fix it and resubmit. Rework of your answers is included. If the fix needs technical work, we quote it before starting.
Can we buy the certificate direct from IASME?
Yes. The certificate fee is the same either way. You pay us for the checks, preparation and submission, so you pass first time.
Do we certify the whole business?
Usually, yes. You can certify a defined part, but the included cyber liability cover only applies when the whole organisation is certified. We will advise during scoping.
What about next year?
The certificate lasts 12 months. Renewals are charged each year, or you can move to Managed Cyber Essentials and we handle it all year.
